What it is and what it is for
Isomar PET is a lightweight composite panel with both skins in Okoumé marine plywood and a recycled PET foam core.
It is used in the construction of furnishings and furniture for which light weight is an essential requirement.
How it is made
Isomar PET is made of::
- faces in okoumè marine plywood: this wood ensures stable physical and mechanical performance over time and it is easy to work (cutting, plating, varnishing);
- core in PET (Polyethylene-Terephthalate) cellular foam, lightweight recyclable thermoplast;
Isomar Pet ensures:
- excellent moisture resistance;
- dimensional stability;
- great resistance to pressure and temperature.
The Isomar PET sandwich panels can be customized in thickness (over 50 mm), according to clients specifications. Faces can also be done with sound-proofcomposite panels (see Isophon Light). Upon request, the panels can be equipped with approved pipes for cables.
The used gluing is classified to zero issue of formaldehyde (Test report No. 188766/1 according to EN717-2:199 rule) and complies with EN 314-1:2004 Class 3 standards (marine gluing).
